A Message To Every Suffering Animal – from the smallest honey bee with gossamer wings to feral kittens – stray dogs – the filthy, vulgar crates of foie gras ducks – bacon bound piglets – and caged chickens to wild horses – polar bears – vilified wolves – birds of every imaginable size and colour – to foxes – reptiles – rabbits – elephants – dolphins – sharks – magnificent whales and endangered animals; these incredibly intelligent and sentient beings all suffer every day at the hands of humans. The cruelty is deliberate and intentional.
This abuse is not necessary – it is a choice that people make – freely and knowingly. Our fellow creatures suffer because they are deemed to be inferior – not the equal of people but “things” to be used and exploited – “products” to be created from their stolen lives and turned into “profit”. We say that animals exist in “our” world. We are neither intellectually advanced nor morally conscious enough to understand that we share the “same” world – it is theirs too. They breathe the same air – feel the sunshine and drink the same cool water. In our ignorance we claim superiority as our justification.
We give you minimal protection – if any – and we refuse to grant you the legal rights to which you are entitled. We do the same thing to disadvantaged people and to our beautiful, but still fragile, planet Earth.
There are millions of people all over the world who are your champions and we are growing in numbers every day. We will not be silenced – we will never stop working on your behalf. We hear your cries of grief and pain. We see your fear and sadness in the kill chutes of slaughterhouses – in the pens of veal calves – the enclosures of lions in the disgusting canned hunting industry and the vile bull fighting rings of cowardly people who claim heritage as their excuse for violence and depravity.
We know that animals have powerful voices – humans are not smart enough to listen or to interpret the fine nuances of their beautiful languages. We are content in our ignorance – happy “not” to know. Your suffering is an inconvenience – therefore it must be hidden from view. Because people are self-serving we allow billions of our fellow creatures to be massacred every year. For those of you that we do not kill for food, products, profit or perverted pleasure – we are complicit in the caging – confinement – torture – culturally justified murder for entertainment – trophy hunting and intentional abuse of billions and billions more.
You look out at the world from beautiful, intelligent eyes and you see us as an enemy to be feared. But we are not all villains. Allow me to be your guide for a moment in time – so you can understand that we are fighting for you and we will never give up until you are protected around the world.
I Will Be your eyes so you can see that not all humans are evil.
I Will Be your ears so you can hear gentle words of caring, affection and concern.
I Will Be your nose so you can smell the sweetness of life and not the stench of fear.
I Will Be your mouth so you can taste fresh, pure water and remember the sweet touch of your mother.
I Will Be your body so you can feel the softness of kind hands and know the power of a gentle touch.
I Will Be your heart so you know that love is more powerful than hatred, cruelty and indifference.
I Will Be your spirit so you know you the blissful happiness of freedom.
I Will Be your soul so you know that when you are gone – you were better by far than those who hurt you.
I Will Be your memory so you know that you are never forgotten.

Sweet Animals – as you face the trials of living in an unjust and human dominated world – know that you are never alone. We see you – we hear you – we will never give up on you. When change comes – as it will and as it must – you will have your day in the sunshine and you will be free.
