Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 24 – On this Boxing Day – Iggy Oink would like to remind you that during the course of 2014 approximately 70 billion land animals were slaughtered around the world for human consumption. Of these beautiful, individual creatures – pigs are the most consumed being on earth.
And something else I bet you didn’t know or think of – not “one” of these animals wanted to die – none went willingly to slaughter and not one of them was killed gently. Humane slaughter is one of the worst oxymorons that people have bought into – created by clever marketing companies – and used purposefully so that humans can consume the life of animals – without thought or guilt.
